The social justice program we have taken the teens to is AMAZING. Talk about hope for the future! Watching kids light up and get passionate bout going to lobby on Immigration or Campaign Finance Reform or Bullying or Reproductive Rights or Stem Cell research is incredibly renewing. I had a phone interview with a place in NJ this afternoon. Of course, I mismarked it in my calendar as a place form MD, so had boned up on the MD site and its website and stats and had a list of questions to ask them...and it was NJ. Well, the first 6 hours seemed to go pretty well. Tomorrow is 3 or so more. I like them, they have a nice facility and seem to be on the upswing although they, too, have declining numbers and students. *sigh* It's enough to make a woman want to become asteamfitter.

I am off to Boston on Friday until Tuesday. The interview parts are Sunday noon - 9 p.m. and Monday (sometime). Wish me luck!

I have another phone interview on Thursday with a place in MA and a local friend set me up to send my resume to a rabbi in NJ with a great letter of recommendation. Yay!

( I also watched the Debbie Friedman funeral on live feed (7,200 of us watching) and it was extraordinarily moving. )

I just heard from my first choice place; they want an in-person interview! (Yay, Don!) If I have to leave beautiful SoCal, maybe it will be to go home and to be with good friends. Wish me luck!
